At the destination the ground loadings were not adequate for the loads i.e. a 56 tonne machine being lifted by a 500 tonne crane at a radius of 26 metres, giving a point load of 137 tonnes per square metre on each outrigger. Ebbsfleet Engineering Services designed a solution and installed a temporary grid system of supporting steels. The Riello Machine was then successfully crane loaded through the roof, re-installed and commissioned by Ebbsfleet Engineering Services.
